We are seeking an experienced Venture Capital (VC) Principal / Researcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in venture capital, and, specifically, experience in doing crypto and blockchain investments. This role involves identifying and selecting investment opportunities, assisting in analyzing investment opportunities, advising portfolio companies, and driving value creation through strategic insights and hands-on support.

Key Responsibilities
Investment Management:
Source and evaluate investment opportunities in the blockchain technology sector, including, but not limited to: Ethereum Core Infra, Crypto x AI, Shared security, Modular paradigm, DeFi, and Deep cryptography.
Prepare investment memorandums and executive summaries about investment opportunities
Conduct thorough due diligence, including market analysis, financial modeling, and competitive landscape assessment
Develop and present investment thesis and recommendations to the investment committee
Portfolio Management:
Support portfolio companies in strategic planning, business development, and operational improvements
Serve as a board member/observer, providing governance and strategic guidance
Assist in follow-on financing rounds, trade sales, exiting positions, and ICOs/IPOs
Strategic Advisory:
Advise founders on scaling their businesses, including team building, product development, marketing, and sales strategies
Facilitate connections with key stakeholders, including potential partners, customers, and follow-on investors
Mentor and coach startup teams to foster growth and innovation
Networking and Representation:
Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and in the media
Build and maintain relationships with other VCs, investors, and industry leaders
Actively contribute to the firm’s thought leadership through publications and public speaking
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s in economics, mathematics or computer science
Experience:
Extensive experience in venture capital or investment banking, with a proven track record of successful investments and exits
Deep knowledge of blockchain technology and the open economy, with specific investments in leading blockchain projects
Skills:
Strong analytical and financial modeling skill
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Proficiency in English is required, proficiency in Spanish is a big plus. Multiple languages beyond that are a plus (e.g., German, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, and French), but not necessary
Familiarity with programming languages (C, Python, Java, Solidity, Rust Visual Basic, Stata) is desirable.
